Advanced geophysical classification uses advanced sensors and geophysical classifiers to estimate physical properties of the item (e.g., depth, size, aspect ratio, wall thickness, symmetry) and determine whether the item is a TOI (i.e., highly likely to be MEC) or non-TOI (i.e., highly unlikely to be MEC). Using the information provided in this final report slide package in a structured decision-making process, project teams will be able to make informed decisions about whether an item should be excavated or can be left in place.
