Installations impacted by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a significant liability for the DoD. In recent years, research and demonstration efforts have been conducted to develop novel and more effective treatment technologies for PFAS in the environment. This session provided a field perspective on treatment of impacted matrices and highlight the latest innovations for in situ and ex situ treatment applications that includes treatment trains and novel adsorbents.
