Seventy-one SERDP and ESTCP FY 2014 new start projects have been selected for funding. These projects responded to the following FY 2014 solicitations: SERDP Core, SERDP Exploratory Development (SEED), ESTCP Environmental Technologies, and ESTCP Installation Energy.

Topics being addressed by these projects include remediation of chlorinated solvent- and perfluoroalkyl-contaminated groundwater; managing contaminated sediments; munitions response in land and underwater environments; range sustainment; climate change impacts to built infrastructure in Alaska; recovery of ecological processes impacted by non-native invasive spaces in the Pacific Islands; threatened, endangered, and at-risk species management; green manufacturing and maintenance; green energetics; military aircraft engine noise; islanding of photovoltaic assets; energy visualization and optimization; energy storage; advanced building energy management; and secure energy management.
