This week, we released the call for poster abstracts for the upcoming 2018 SERDP and ESTCP Symposium.  For those who have not attended the Symposium before, there will be two technical poster sessions, one on Tuesday, November 27, and the second on Wednesday, November 28. Each session features a different group of approximately 230 posters.  We make an effort to group posters by topic to facilitate networking among the presenters and to allow easy navigation of the exhibit hall.

A majority of the posters that are presented are of SERDP and ESTCP funded projects. Ongoing projects are expected to present a poster each year at the Symposium.  We also encourage very new or recently completed projects to present as well as individuals outside of SERDP and ESTCP who are working towards addressing DoD’s environmental or energy issues.  An acceptable poster will be within the general scope of SERDP and ESTCP’s mission and focus on a research or demonstration effort; we do not accept posters that are focused solely on marketing a specific product.  If you have questions regarding the poster abstract submission process or would like to see if a topic is appropriate for consideration, please contact symposium@noblis.org.  Those interested in submitting an abstract must do so by July 1, 2018 through the abstract submission website.  Selections will be made and submitters notified in the early to mid-August timeframe.

Based on feedback from last year’s event, we are working on a number of ideas for the 2018 Symposium that will hopefully make the poster sessions more productive and enjoyable. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more details on the poster session and other aspects of the Symposium.

Additionally, registration for the 2018 Symposium is now open.  Registration rates ($595 for DoD and students; $955 for all other attendees) remain the same as last year.  For more information on the Symposium and to register, please visit the 2018 Symposium website.  The site will be updated frequently with additional information on the technical program and other details as they are finalized.

As always, we look forward to seeing many of you this November 27-29 at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. for the 2018 SERDP and ESTCP Symposium!
