It is with great excitement that SERDP & ESTCP welcomes Dr. David Bradley as the new Program Manager for the Munitions Response Program Area. Dr. Bradley holds a Ph.D. in acoustics and his research has been closely associated with SERDP & ESTCP for many years. His recent work has included investigations of sound propagation through internal waves, modeling of the impact of both ocean boundaries on the acoustic field, understanding acoustics of inhomogeneous (bubble-filled) media and measuring underwater noise fields.

Dr. Bradley was previously an Affiliate Research Professor at the University of New Hampshire. He has served as a Professor of Acoustics and Senior Scientist (now Emeritus) at Pennsylvania State University, director of the NATO Underwater Research Center, superintendent of the Acoustics Division of the Naval Research Laboratory, and head of the Geophysical Sciences Division of the Office of Naval Research.

His formative contributions to the field of acoustics have been recognized with many awards and leadership positions within the Acoustical Society of America. They include the Meritorious Civilian Service Award and Superior Civilian Service Award from the Department of the Navy. He has served as the president of the Acoustical Society of America, participated on their Executive Council, and acted as chair of their Medals and Awards Committee.

Dr. Bradley will be attending the upcoming SERDP & ESTCP Symposium in Washington, D.C. from December 3-5 and he looks forward to meeting all the project teams!
