WELCOME
Thank you for your interest in this year’s Partners in Environmental Technology Technical Symposium & Workshop hosted by the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) and the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP). This three-day event will offer a comprehensive technical program featuring 11 technical sessions and several short courses.

This conference of approximately 1,000 attendees will assemble this nation’s best environmental researchers and technology developers with the defense user and regulatory communities to showcase cutting edge environmental technologies and ideas, as well as communicate the most difficult challenges of our defense establishment. Through this process, SERDP and ESTCP strive to provide a forum for users in the field to examine these technologies that may offer solutions to the most pressing problems.
SYMPOSIUM HIGHLIGHTS
PLENARY SESSION AND PROJECT-OF-THE-YEAR AWARDS
The opening Plenary Session will feature keynote speakers who will address emerging environmental challenges facing the Department of Defense (DoD). Also part of the Plenary Session, SERDP and ESTCP Principal Investigators who have helped DoD achieve its mission while improving its environmental performance will be honored as the annual SERDP and ESTCP Project-of-the-Year Awards are announced. As details about the Plenary Session are confirmed, additional information will be available under the Agenda tab at the top of the page.
TECHNICAL SESSIONS AND SHORT COURSES
The Plenary Session will pave the way for the start of the comprehensive technical program. Technical sessions will highlight research and innovative technologies that are assisting DoD to address increasingly complex environmental challenges. Throughout the three days, short courses on select technologies in the environmental restoration and munitions management focus areas will offer unique training opportunities on recent advancements. As speakers are confirmed for these sessions, additional information will be added to the content currently available under the Agenda tab at the top of the page.
FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
During the Symposium, the Executive Director of SERDP and ESTCP will conduct a session providing a summary of SERDP and ESTCP program development and opportunities for interested researchers to conduct research and technology demonstrations.

This year’s Symposium & Workshop will feature the highly successful poster sessions and exhibit booths and showcase a number of technologies and scientific advancements from a variety of environmental research programs over two days (Tuesday and Wednesday). Attendees will have an opportunity to learn first-hand about ongoing and recently completed SERDP research projects and ESTCP technology demonstrations.
